Visiting your family
I can do a short pre-visit so that you can meet me and I can meet your family, should you wish.
Then I visit your house on another date for about 1- 2 hours, depending upon your package. This is long enough to document several different types of activities, but not so long that it may tire your children (or you!) out.
I am happy to visit at the week-end so that working partners can all be part of the family fun.
Working with children
I can work with children up to the age of 10 but a Life-Lens production is best suited to children from 6 months to 8 years. Children change so fast during these early years that this is the time to make a memory of how they are.
In the Life-Lens production I try to bring out the comedy, idiosyncrasies and special gifts of the children. A variety of activities and interactions with the parents is good for this.
Here is a list of suggested activities:
- Cooking
- Snack
- Playing with toys
- Jigsaws
- Reading books
- Playing favourite games eg. tickling; on shoulders; getting daddy’s glasses; rolling on trampoline;
- Trying to walk
- Hide and seek
- Singing songs
- Dancing with children to music
- Chase
- Gardening
- Climbing the stairs
- Playing musical instruments
During the session I remain quiet and unobtrusive whilst you play various activities with your children.
I suggest you wear your normal clothes. Often pale colours are good on the parents and something colourful on the child. I use natural and available light, there is no flash or studio lighting equipment.
Other photos
I can also take some ‘classic’ family photos, for you to make prints of.
You will receive:
- A ~ 25 to 160 photo Life-Lens production on a Life-Lens USB stick within 1 to 3 weeks depending upon the package you choose
- High and low resolution files of all the photos in the production, plus the "classic" family photos. You can make large prints from these.
- 10 low resolution photos emailed to you within 5 days of the session. These will be good for emailing to friends and family.
- A gift box containing the customised USB stick and instructions on how to run the show.
- All photos will be professionally adjusted to give their best look.
